
Men's Golf Holds Top Spot Through Two Rounds at Quail Valley Collegiate Invite

Three Ospreys Sit Inside Top Four Individuals
VERO BEACH, Fla. - North Florida men's golf put together a dominant performance with two great rounds to sit as the top team at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational on Sunday evening.
The Ospreys have three of their five players positioned among the top five individuals at the tournament with Nick Gabrelcik leading the way in second overall. Davis Lee and Robbie Higgins also carded stellar rounds in the 60s to follow Gabrelcik in third and tied for fourth respectively.
UNF holds a one-stroke lead above a 16-team field heading into the final round on Tuesday. They sit above five teams that are ranked inside the top 50 teams, while Gabrelcik, Lee and Higgins are currently ahead of three players that are ranked as top 100 individuals.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Gabrelcik finished the day with only one hole worse than par through 36 total holes, as he ended the second round at 12-under 132 with rounds of 7-under 65 and 5-under 67.
- The Trinity, Fla., native was top-four in all par averages on Monday, while also being top 10 in birdies with 11 total and recording an eagle in the second round.
- Lee had the top Osprey score in the second round at 6-under 66 with seven birdies to finish his day at 9-under 135 combined.
- The senior had a top-three par-four scoring average (4-under), along with the second-most birdies at 13 total.
- Higgins played consistent golf at 4-under 68 in both rounds to secure a top-four spot at 8-under 136 overall.
- He also joins Lee inside the top five individuals with the most birdies at 12 total with six in each round.
- Cody Carroll recorded two solid rounds with six total birdies at 2-over 146 combined, while Cooper Smith notched one of the two eagles for the Ospreys to round out the group at 3-over 147.
- The Ospreys are the only team to have two players in the top three, as well as three players in the top four.
