Roskic and Harrison Earn AVCA Beach Volleyball Top Flight Recognition

LEXINGTON, Ky. - After finishing the year with a slew of conference honors, UNF beach volleyball's Dana Roskic and Antonia Harrison added national recognition to their names after earning American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Beach Volleyball Top Flight honors for their play at the first pair.

Roskic and Harrison are just one of 11 top flight pairs to be named to the list. A total of 36 pairs across five flights were named to the 2021 AVCA Top Flight team.

This is the third class of top flight award winners since the national organization began announcing these teams. Pairs eligible need to compete in at least 15 matches together at a specific flight, while recording a winning percentage of at least .750.

Harrison and Roskic went 26-8 overall and 12-3 at the top slot since taking over flight one in the middle of the season. The duo clinched UNF's wins in the ASUN Championship Semifinals and Finals.

The duo earned 2021 First Team All-ASUN honors after being named pair of the tournament. Twice during the season they were tabbed ASUN Pair of the Week.

For Roskic it's her second AVCA Top Flight honor after being named to the team at the fourth flight with Callie Workman in May of 2019.

The Ospreys finished with a 24-10 overall record, tying a program record for wins in a season. UNF also received its first-ever AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball ranking, coming in No. 20 after winning the 2021 ASUN Championship.
