Ospreys Play Coastal Carolina, FAU, FIU and FSU at Unconquered Invitational

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - One week after knocking off all four opponents UNF faced, including two ranked victories, North Florida beach volleyball will be tested again when it goes to Tallahassee, Fla., for the Unconquered Invitational.

The Ospreys play Coastal Carolina, FAU, FIU and host Florida State Friday and Saturday.

1) Last Time Out
BOCA RATON, Fla. - North Florida beach volleyball (17-5) found its stride with a statement weekend in Boca Raton following a pair of 3-2 wins Saturday, April 3 to conclude the FAU Sandy Owls Invite.

The Ospreys defeated #20 FGCU and Tampa, turning in the only perfect weekend at FAU. It also gives UNF six-straight victories and a 17-5 overall record.

UNF has won consecutive matches against ranked opponents, making it the first time the Ospreys have won multiple contests against ranked teams in the same season since 2016.

2) Run Up the Numbers
A number of active Ospreys are moving up in the UNF all-time record book … Callie Workman joined the 50-win club, sitting at 51-38, good for the 7th-most wins in UNF history … Dana Roskic went 4-0 with Antonia Harrison, moving into 10th for the most victories in program history … her .714 winning percentage is the best in program history (minimum 30 wins) … Carolyn Cain also hit the .700 winning percentage plateau, good for the third-best winning percentage in program history.

3) Knocking Off Those Nationally Ranked
North Florida knocked off not just one but two nationally-ranked opponents last weekend … the Ospreys won 3-2 against #11 FAU, UNF's first win against FAU since 2016 and the highest-ranked foe North Florida has defeated since defeating #9 Stetson in 2016 … the Ospreys followed that up with a 3-2 defeat of #20 FGCU a day later … its the first time North Florida has defeated two ranked opponents in the same season since 2016.

4) Of Note
UNF has a 76-34 dual record, good for a .691 winning percentage … Roskic and Antonia Harrison went 4-0 on the weekend and 3-0 in their first matches at the top slot … the duo is a team-best 17-5 … Roskic and Harrison are also on a six-match winning streak … Carolyn Cain and Chantel McMillan are 6-1 as a pair and on a five-match winning streak … Sophie Beckley and Maddie Norris were 3-0 at the extras slot last weekend, improving to 4-1 as a duo … UNF is 5-0 in neutral site matches and 11-1 at home.

RV Coastal Carolina: The Chanticleers are 18-4 and on an 11-match winning streak … Coastal Carolina is 8-0 in neutral site contests … Coastal is 0-4 in matches against ranked opponents … Sarlota Svobodova and Irena Drobnjak were named ASUN Beach Volleyball Pair of the Week March 17.
#13 FAU: FAU is 13-7 … last week the Owls were ranked #11 in the AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball Poll … North Florida downed the Owls in Boca Raton, 3-2, April 2 … FAU's notable wins have come against South Carolina, Stetson (twice), FIU (twice) and FGCU (twice).
