How it Happened
- FGCUÂ had runs in the first two innings for a 2-0 lead.
- In the bottom of the second, Shannon Glover led off with a double and moved over on an out before an RBI groundout from Logan Jackson made it a 2-1 game.
- The Eagles then scored another run with the aid of an error for a 3-1 advantage.
- North Florida scored in the fifth on Taylor Engman's sac fly, but despite loading the bases, FGCU got the last batter looking.
- From there, Taylor Bauman sat the Ospreys down in order in the sixth and gave up just one hit in the seventh to secure the save.
Notes
- Glover and Paige Pfent had two hits on the day.
- Arends got the start, but Morgan Clausen replaced her in the third. Clausen tossed 5.0 innings with three hits, one unearned run and four strikeouts.
Up Next
North Florida has its lone road ASUN series at Jacksonville on tap. The Ospreys faces off with JU Saturday, April 10 for a doubleheader and a single on Sunday.Â
