Ospreys Eliminate Mercer, Coastal Carolina

DeLAND, Fla. - North Florida beach volleyball took care of business Saturday, April 24, defeating Mercer and Coastal Carolina to advance to the final day at the conference championships in DeLand.

The Ospreys opened the day with a 4-1 win against Mercer, while concluding it by eliminating four-seed Coastal Carolina.

The same lineups for day one of the ASUN Beach Volleyball Championships remained for UNF on day two, with the Ospreys sweeping four of five courts. North Florida was just points from its 13th sweep of the year, dropping only court three.

Match 2: UNF 3, Coastal Carolina 2
UNF's hot start proved to be key in the 3-2 win. McMillan and Cain won 21-19 in their first set at pair five. They followed that up by getting UNF on the board with a 21-14 win.

Semeniuk and Galinis swept their match, as did Workman and Griffey, giving UNF the match after three courts.

Coastal added two courts after the match was decided.
