JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida beach volleyball goes to #16 Stetson for two matches Tuesday before hosting Stetson and North Alabama Thursday at The Coop.

1) Best Start in Program History
The Ospreys went 4-0 opening weekend, defeating Charleston, Erskine, Mercer and UNC Wilmington … UNF's 4-0 start is its best start in program history through four matches … the Ospreys won all but two courts across four matches.

2) Griffey and Workman Honored
UNF's top pair of Taryn Griffey and Callie Workman were named ASUN Pair of the Week March 3 … The duo went 4-0 on opening weekend, winning all but one set in four matches … it's the third time Workman has been named to the award and the second time Griffey received the honor … it's the duo's first honor together.

3) Receiving Votes
UNF was receiving votes in the AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball Preseason Poll and the latest poll March 2 … the Ospreys finished the 2020 season receiving votes as well.

4) Spreading the Wealth
During the opening weekend, 11 different student-athletes earned playing time if you include positions one through five and the extras pair … Griffey, Workman, Carolyn Cain, Marisa Rogers, Lauren Galinis, Carleigh Semeniuk, Dana Roskic and Antonia Harrison all went 4-0 … Chantel McMillan, Leah Maloney and Sophie Beckley also earned wins.

No. 16 Stetson: Stetson is ranked 16th as of the March 2 AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball Poll … the Hatters have a pair of top-15 wins, defeating No. 15 TCU and No. 13 South Carolina by the scores of 3-2 … Stetson's three losses have come against ranked teams (FAU, FIU, South Carolina) … Ana Costa was named the ASUN Beach Volleyball Preseason Player of the Year … Carly Perales was named to the Preseason All-Conference squad.
North Alabama: The Lions are 3-2 … UNA is 0-2 against Central Arkansas, earning wins against Huntingdon and Hendrix … North Alabama's roster is comprised of eight freshmen and four sophomores ... UNA and UNF have never met.
