Ospreys Score Eight in the Sixth, Earns Series Victory
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - It was either team's game through five frames, but UNF's eight-run outburst in the top of the sixth set the Ospreys (8-11, 2-0 ASUN) towards their 13-6 win at Jacksonville (5-14, 0-2 ASUN) Saturday, March 27.Â
Trey Spratling-Williams hit a grand slam, Abraham Sequera tallied four RBI, while Aidan Sweatt and Justin Holmes registered two doubles apiece.Â
The win guarantees an Ospreys series victory as UNF stands as the lone team in the ASUN South Division with a 2-0 conference record.
Relievers Dominick Madonna and Dylan Kelley permitted only one run on four hits in 4.1 innings of work. Madonna picked up the win while starter Austin Bogart took the no-decision.

Behind the Line Score
- Things were scoreless through one and a half before Duncan Hunter singled and scored on a Christian Coipel double to right field.Â
- UNF evened it 1-1 in the top of the third. Ricky Presno reached on an error, Justin Holmes doubled and Sequera scored Presno with an RBI groundout.Â
- JU rallied with two outs in the bottom of the third. The Dolphins used four consecutive singles, two of which were in the infield, plating two for a 3-1 lead after three.
- North Florida jumped ahead, 4-3, in the fifth thanks to three hits and two walks. Presno started it again, reaching on a single before Holmes doubled. Isaiah Byars walked, setting up a two-RBI single from Sequera. Kachler skied one to shallow right, although Byars scored as the ball was mishandled following a collision between the right fielder and second baseman.Â
- JU scored three two-out runs for the 6-4 lead after five. Dakota Julylia doubled, Stephen Moffat walked, Cory Heffron doubled in two and Jackson Grabsky singled in another.
- The Ospreys started their 9-0 run to close the game with the eight-run explosion in the sixth.Â
- Two singles and a walk were followed by an RBI base hit by Byars and consecutive run-scoring walks. Kachler plated Byars with a single before Trey Spratling-Williams delivered the biggest blow, a grand slam to left.
- Two walks preceded a Sweatt RBI double in the eighth, completing UNF's scoring.
