14-Hit Outburst Fuels Ospreys

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF baseball (5-10) scored in six different innings highlighted by a six-run fourth inning as the Ospreys doubled up UCF, 14-7, Saturday, March 13.

North Florida pounded out 16 hits while driving in 13 as a team. Blake Marabell headlined UNF's offensive outburst, going 4-for-6 with three runs and three RBI. Eight of nine UNF starters collected at least one hit.

Behind the Line Score

UCF took its only lead of the game on an Alex Freeland home run to left in the first.
Ricky Presno evened the game up with an RBI single through the right side, scoring Blake Marabell in the second.
Isaiah Byars collected his first hit as an Osprey with a ringing single to left in the third. Tanner Clark singled and Byars moved up to third. Alex Kachler tapped one to UCF's third baseman who attempted to get Byars at home but could not, putting UNF ahead 2-1.
The big blow came in UNF's six-run fourth. Three hits, a walk, intentional walk, hit by pitch and error allowed the Ospreys to cash in and go ahead, 8-1. The biggest play in the inning was a Marabell two-RBI double.
UCF added a pair, but UNF answered with two more in the sixth. Trey Spratling-Williams was hit by a pitch, Marabell doubled and Aidan Sweatt singled them home.
Sweatt tacked on another RBI single in the seventh before UNF completed its scoring in the eighth. Two doubles, one from Clark and the other from Marabell, bookended a Kachler single and Spratling-Williams walk.
UCF tallied two in the ninth on three hits, but that was it.

Marabell tied a career high with four hits and three RBI. He collected both of those totals March 24, 2019 against FGCU.
It was UNF's fifth double-digit hit performance.
It was UNF's second double-digit RBI outing.
Spratling-Williams scored a career-high four runs.
Bogart picked up his first win as an Osprey hurler.
