FIVE FACTS: Baseball Plays Three at The Citadel

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - UNF Baseball stays on the road for three games at The Citadel. North Florida plays a single game Friday and a doubleheader Saturday.

The Saturday doubleheader was moved up from 2 p.m. and will start at 1 p.m. UNF and Citadel picked up the three-game series towards the end of the offseason.

The last meeting was in 2015. UNF defeated the Bulldogs, 9-8, in Charleston and 16-9 in Jacksonville earlier in the year.
UNF and The Citadel first met in 1995.

2. Switch Hitting Sequera
Senior shortstop Abraham Sequera pulled off the unusual feat of hitting a home run from both sides of the plate in the same game Tuesday against Florida … Sequera hit a solo shot from the right side in the 5th inning before belting an opposite field two-run home run from the left side in the bottom of the ninth … to boot, it was career home run number one and number two for Sequera … he also leads the league in home runs.

3. Streaking Sweatt
Freshman Aidan Sweatt has appeared in all five games so far this season … he's had plate appearances in four of those games and is on a four-game hitting streak … the Fernandina Beach, Fla., native has two doubles, a triple and is slugging .500.

4. Highway Robbery
Outfielder Blake Marabell robbed an FSU home run in the season opener, colliding with the wall on a dead spring … Marabell hung on and was eventually recognized by SportsCenter and NCAA Baseball as one of the top five plays for week one of baseball.

The Citadel is 1-2 after a weekend series against Longwood.
The Bulldogs won game three, scoring four runs in the bottom of the ninth to erase a 6-5 deficit.
Citadel pitchers come in with a 36/13 strikeout-to-walk ratio, but they're team ERA is 6.11.
Tyler Corbitt went 7-for-14 on opening weekend, hitting a home run while scoring four and slugging .714.
Corbitt was a SoCon Preseason All-Second Team Selection.
The Citadel was selected to finish seventh in the conference as selected by head coaches and the media.
