FAULCONER TALES
"We had a successful start to the season and now we are looking to build on that success. FIU is coming off a great start as well and are playing with confidence under their new coach, Jonathan Garbar. It looks like they have nine new starters, so it will be a different team from the one we faced down in Miami in 2019.Â
We know we will be in for a battle against Kennesaw State. We went 1-1 versus them in 2019, but they won the one that mattered. Defeating us in the ASUN quarterfinals. I know that loss has left a bitter taste in our mouths and we look forward to another great game against one of the stronger teams in the conference. Even though this a non-conference game in this season's format, this weekend sets up in a similar fashion to the ASUN semifinals and championship game in April. So headed into these two games, we are treating this opportunity with that approach."
-- Head coach Eric Faulconer
After starting the season with three consecutive home matches, North Florida now hits the road for a four-match stretch beginning Feb. 18 with a match at Georgia Southern.
