Men's XC Trio Selected To ASUN All-Academic Team

ATLANTA - Nathan Jubran, Jake Turner, and Aidan O'Gorman were each selected to the ASUN All-Academic team as announced Wednesday by the conference office.
"Traditionally, our men take a lot of pride in everything that they do and here at UNF that starts with work in the classroom. We understand that it's going to make an impact for the rest of their lives," said head coach Jeff Pigg. "They work hard in the classroom and it's nice to see their efforts rewarded with All-Conference honors for academics. I'm proud of the effort and leadership by these three guys."
The Ospreys had three runners make the ASUN All-Academic team for the first time since 2018. Jubran also becomes the fourth Osprey to be selected to the All-Academic team twice.
The men's team now has 15 runners all-time that have made the conference's All-Academic team since the award first started in 2011, which ranks second among current members of the ASUN.

- Holds 3.99 GPA in Psychology.
- Second time selected to ASUN All-Academic team in his career after being the ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year this past spring.
- Placed 22nd as the top runner for the Ospreys to start the season at the FSU XC Open (24:31.0).
- Finished third and recorded the fastest 8k time in UNF history at the Gans Creek Classic (23:54.7).
- Won fifth-career ASUN Runner of the Week after his performance at the Gans Creek Classic.
- Placed 81st as the top Osprey runner for the third straight race at the Pre-Nationals meet (24:07.2).
- Placed fifth and received first-team All-ASUN honors at the ASUN Championship (24:14.3).
Jake Turner
Sophomore | Brandon, Fla.
- Holds 3.9 GPA in Sport Management.
- Only underclassman in this year's ASUN All-Academic team.
- Finished 11th and recorded a personal-best 8k time in his season debut at the Gans Creek Classic (24:19.1).
- Placed 112th with his second-straight race recording a personal-best time at the Pre-Nationals meet (24:19.0).
- Both 8k times that he's posted this season are top 10 in UNF program history.
- Finished eighth and received second-team All-ASUN honors at the ASUN Championship (24:27.2).
Aidan O'Gorman
Junior | New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
- Holds 3.65 GPA in Civil Engineering.
- Finished 49th to start the season at the FSU XC Open (25:15.1).
- Placed 22nd at the Gans Creek Classic (24:35.3).
- Finished 213th at the Pre-Nationals meet (25:03.4).
- Placed 14th and received second-team All-ASUN honors at the ASUN Championship (24:33.0).
