JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis swept Flagler on opening day, extending its home win streak to 17. North Florida leads the all-time series with Flagler, 12-3, winning the last seven meetings.

Catherine Gulihur made her debut with the Ospreys partnered with Ana Paula Melilo in the one slot in doubles. The pair secured the win defeating Eden Schlagenhauf and Luisa Hrda, 6-4, before Flagler claimed court three downing Valentina Mariotto and Annabelle Davis 6-3. Constanza Gorches and Lucia Montano earned the doubles point edging Anika Nissen and Alessandra Traub, 7-5, in the two slot.

Montano kept her momentum putting UNF ahead 2-0 with a 6-1, 6-1, triumph against Eden Schlagenhauf. Sean Lodzki finished close behind with a 6-3, 6-1, win over Flo Massardo Brain.

Mariotto clinched the win for the Ospreys on court four in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, against Anika Nissen. Summer Yardley and Gorches also picked up wins in straight sets. Ana Paula Melilo claimed her tiebreaker 3-6, 7-5, 10-4, against Luisa Hrda.

North Florida travels to Georgia Southern for its next match Sunday, Jan. 31.
