INSIDE THE GAME
- North Florida jumped out to a 10-2 lead to force an early Kennesaw State timeout. UNF continued to keep its distance as it held Kennesaw without a score for more than two minutes and eventually lead 20-12 at the break.
- The Owls outscored UNF, 15-14, as the visitors struggled to find the basket hitting just 5-for-16 in the quarter. Late in the second, Bond snapped a three-minute drought with a basket to give the Ospreys a 27-25 lead at the break.
- Kennesaw State controlled the third quarter and erased a 13-point deficit to battle back to 47-45. Despite North Florida going without a field goal for the final five minutes of the quarter, the Ospreys held a 48-46 edge after three.
- The Owls continued to fight as a triple pulled them to within 50-49 and another from long range tied the game for the first time since the start at 54-54 with 6:09 to play. Tying the game was as close as the Owls would come, as the Ospreys used their size and experience for the remainder of the game.Â
- North Florida used a 9-0 run inside of a 14-3 longer run to end the home team's hope and close out the game.
