Cross Country Announces 2021 Schedule

JACKSONVILLE - Head coach Jeff Pigg announces the 2021 North Florida cross country schedule set to open Jan. 23 at the Charleston Southern Invitational in Charleston, S.C.
"We are really excited to get back to competition. Both teams have been working since March knowing that at some point we would have an opportunity to compete," said head coach Jeff Pigg. "We look forward to seeing the gains that have been made throughout this COVID period. The cross country schedule consists of three really good opportunities highlighted by the ASUN Championships March 5. At this point the outdoor track schedule is back to business as usual with great meets at Florida, Florida State and here at home."Â

THE SCHEDULE
North Florida travels to both regular season meets, the Charleston Southern Invitational and then to the FSU Invitational in Tallahassee, Fla. (Feb. 5). The Ospreys hit the road for the ASUN Cross Country Championship March 5 in Macon, Ga.ÂGET TO KNOW THE OSPREYS
Men's Cross Country
Nathan Jubran led the Ospreys in each of their six meets IN 2019, finishing first in three of them. The squad finished in the top three in four of their six meets. UNF edged out the Florida Gators in two of their four meetings this season, including the NCAA regional championships. Jubran set a school record in the 10K for cross country and had the top individual time of all Florida schools.ÂWomen's Cross Country
The Ospreys' best meet of the 2019 season was at the Mt. Dew Invitational where they placed third out of 35 teams. Camryn Cooney and Grace Gumpel both led UNF, each coming in first for the Ospreys in three meets.ÂASUN ACCOLADES
