Men's Golf Adds Transfer Brandon Mancheno for 2021

JACKSONVILLE -- North Florida head men's golf coach Scott Schroeder announced the addition of Brandon Mancheno, a transfer from Auburn University, to the Osprey roster for 2021.
Mancheno, a native of Jacksonville and former prep standout at Mandarin High School, returns to his hometown following a decorated three-year collegiate career at Auburn.
"We are excited to welcome Brandon back to his hometown of Jacksonville," said Schroeder. "His experience and expectations for himself are a great fit for our program. We have a young, talented roster that just got better and more experienced with his addition. We were looking forward to getting back on the course this spring before adding him and this only raises the bar more for what we can do as a team."
During his career at Auburn, Mancheno garnered GCAA National All-Freshman team honors, PING 2nd-team All-American and All-Southeast Region accolades as well as claiming the SEC Freshman of the Year award. A second-team All-SEC performer, he was also a semifinalist for the Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year award in 2018. Mancheno also shared medalist honors at the 2018 NCAA Championship.

The UNF Men's Golf team is scheduled to open play of the 2021 Spring season on Jan. 25-26 in the Timaquana Collegiate co-hosted by North Florida and Jacksonville at Timaquana Country Club.
