
National Championships Share Men's Golf "Top Season" Honors

ATLANTA -- In the Men's Golf Edition of the ASUN Conference's "Top Season" promotion, North Florida's NAIA National Championships in 1991 and 1993 shared the program honor as announced by the ASUN office.
North Florida brought home the 1991 National Championship with a tournament score of 1,200 at Twin HIlls Country Club. In 1993, the Ospreys carded a 4-round total of 1,139 at TPC Sawgrass en route to the NAIA National Championship. UNF captured both titles by over 20 strokes.
Jamie Burns collected the individual medalist honor in 1993, finishing with a score of 281. Fellow Osprey Steve Carter set a championship record low for 36 holes with a score of 134. North Florida also recorded a team low round score of 274 in the second round.
