LAST WORD
"It is great to be home. We had a great turnout tonight and I thought our student section was outstanding. I was really, really proud of our defensive effort for like 36-37 minutes of the game. Unfortunately, we had a few moments where we let the game turn into a we score, you score type of situation. That's not good for us or how we want to play with where we are trying to go. I don't want to be a team that just tries to outscore somebody. Felt like we did a super job, especially in the second half, of getting shots. Took care of the ball and only had three turnovers in the second half with all of them coming in the last five minutes. We gave up 43 second half points and that's not what we are about or what we are trying to do. We have to tighten that up in a quick turnaround in preparation of Saturday's game against NJIT. Proud of Ivan for scoring 1,000 points and having 500 assists, which is really impressive. I thought Wajid gave us some nice energy and I thought Josh Endicott was phenomenal off the bench." -- Head coach Matthew Driscoll
