PIGG'S POINTS
Women
"Louisa had a great meet.  She set the school record today and we have had a lot of great vaulters over the years so it is a very impressive mark. After missing a year and having physical therapy for both knees, she finally got back on the runway.  She has worked very hard in PT and as of lately pole vault training. She is an extremely hard worker and very competitive so it is no surprise to see her do so well.  Lydia ran a lifetime best in the mile and 3000m to place well.  She is just getting back into shape after redshirting the cross country season. She was calm and handled the race action well. The 3000m was a tribute to her mental toughness as she was tired after the mile earlier in the day. She had a terrific opener. " -- Head Coach Jeff Pigg
Men
"The guys had a nice day with a number of personal bests. They competed very hard and that was great to see from them. Jared Vazquez opened the day in the mile running 4:07.  It was a big PR and a great opener.  As a whole the mile yielded a lot of good races for our guys.  Jared just continues to gain strength and confidence. Leo beat a very competitive field in the 3000.  The pace was fast and he stayed poised. When it was time to close he took off and really looked good. It was a 8 second personal best and I'm proud to see him running well as I know he is been working hard for quite sometime. Nathan ran a PR as well as freshman Aidan O'Gorman. In the second heat Sem closed really well to win the race with a nice PR for him as well." -- Head coach Jeff Pigg
