LEADERBOARD: Playing in their second tournament of the week, No. 19 North Florida men's golf were 5-under at the turn of the opening round of the Carpet Capital Collegiate on Friday before finishing the round in second-place with a total of 290.
FIRST TEE
- Freshman Davis Lee, making his Osprey lineup debut, collected six birdies en route to a 2-under 70 (3rd place tie)
- Senior Michael Mattiace joined Lee in a tie for third after shooting a matching 2-under 70
- Sophomore Grant Sutliff also finished day one in the Top 20, carding a 1-over 73 to rank T14
- Senior Nick Infanti posted a 77 (T48) and freshman Drew Angelo had a 79 (T63) to round out the Osprey lineup
- South Carolina's Jamie Wilson and host Georgia Tech's Luke Schniederjans share the medalist list following rounds of 4-under 68
