Jacksonville Sneaks Past Ospreys to Close Series

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - It was another one-run game in the River City Rumble with Jacksonville winning 2-1 against North Florida softball on Monday afternoon to close up the Ospreys' home games.
Jacksonville had seven hits and left nine runners stranded, while UNF had six hits and left seven on base.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jacksonville opened the game with a hit batter and a single for two on. A sac bunt moved the runners before a single from Abby Genest allowed a run to score.
- A pair of hits and another sac bunt allowed a run to score for a 2-0 lead in the Dolphins favor.
- North Florida got on the board when Taylor Engman led off with a single and moved to second on an error. She then got to third on a wild pitch before scoring on Navia Penrod's bunt single, beating the tag at home.
- UNF threatened to tie the game in the sixth with Rindy Bryant on third base, but the JU defense got the next three batters to end the threat.
