Beach Volleyball Sweeps Southern MIss, Goes 1-2 On Last Day at LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. - North Florida Beach Volleyball faced a gauntlet on its final day at the Tiger Beach Challenge, falling to No. 19/19 Georgia State and (RV/RV) Tulane before closing the cross country trip with a sweep of Southern Miss.

No. 19/19 Georgia State 4, UNF 1

Madilyn McCarty and Nicole DeBolt won a three-set thriller to give UNF its lone point against the Panthers (13-8).
Dana Roskic and Callie Workman and Brittany Pase and Chaney Howard all went to three sets before being edged at the five and one spot respectively.

RV/RV Tulane 3, UNF 2

Carleigh Semeniuk and Lauren Galinis garnered UNF's first point with a straight sets sweep at the five spot. McCarty and DeBolt recovered after dropping the first set, downing Tarin Mergener and Haley Gibson, 21-14, 15-11.
Unfortunately a battle to the third set went to the Green Wave at spot number four. Ellie Leitko and Gabriella Becerra outlasted Workman and Roskic, 15-13, in the decisive set.

UNF 5, Southern MIss 0

UNF was firing on all cylinders in match three on the day. Four pairs won in straight sets and Roskic and Workman generated their own three set victory this time, helping complete the 5-0 sweep.

"Today was tough playing three straight matches. We had a heart-breaking 2-3 loss to Tulane. Georgia State was good, which was another tight match as well. We closed out the Tiger Invitational with a sweep against Southern Miss, and overall we had an amazing trip with a lot of great experience to go with it.
