Pigg's Points (Comments from Head Coach Jeff Pigg)
"High jumpers had a strong opening meet. It was great to have senior Bobby Harris back in uniform for his final season. Both he and Jaasiel jumped well and are focusing on late season success. In the 800m. George Escobar and Chris Robin both ran outstanding races. The doubled back for the 400m, showing their strength and grit after sweeping the 800 in a very nice field. Freshman Timothy Doyle ran a blistering last lap to earn 3rd palce and a nice PR for 1500m. He ran smart and closed with a very nice last 400m. Noah Perkins also ran a PR finishing a close third. Leo, Sem, Nathan and Jared all had PRs, as our guys are rounding into 1500m form. It was a good race for our group and nice to see them compete well, knowing that we are just getting started with the outdoor season."
