Woodson Hits Perfect against No. 3/4 Florida State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Senior Megan Woodson had a perfect day at the plate for North Florida softball, but it was not enough as No. 3/4 Florida State topped the Ospreys, 9-1, in five innings on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened:
- North Florida scored its run in the final frame thanks to a Seminole error. Freshman Ashley Goebel singled to reach before the error allowed two aboard.
- A groundout moved the runners into scoring position when Woodson tallied her third hit of the day with a single to left field to end the shutout.
- Florida State put up seven runs across the first two innings and added two more in the fourth to put the game out of reach for UNF.
- The Seminoles scored four runs in the opening frame on four hits and a walk.
- A three-run homerun in the third pushed the home team's lead to 7-0.
- FSU then put up a two-spot in the fourth on a sac fly and RBI single.
- Sandercock kept most of the Ospreys off the bases as she tossed a complete game with four strikeouts, five hits and no walks.
