Ospreys Go 3-1 in Season-Opening Weekend

BOCA RATON, Fla. - It was a day of sweeps as host No. 20/19 Florida Atlantic swept the Ospreys before UNF (3-1) took down Webber, 5-0, as North Florida finished 3-1 at the Paradise at the Burrow hosted by FAU.

Match Breakdown:

UNF had a shot to tie things up 1-1 at the number five slot, but FAU pulled out a 21-19, 21-19 victory against Marisa Rogers and Carleigh Semeniuk. A pair of tight matches at three and one tilted in favor of the Owls as they clinched the match.
The Ospreys dispatched Webber in straight sets all across the board, earning their second sweep of the young season.

Notes:

UNF is 1-1 against ranked opponents this year.
UNF still leads the all-time series with FAU, 6-4.
The Ospreys are 5-0 against Webber.
UNF starts 3-1 for the second year in a row.

UNF comes to Jacksonville Beach to host the UNF Invitational March 1-2. The Ospreys host Saint Leo, UNC-Wilmington and Charleston on Friday in dual matches. The teams will play a pairs tournament Saturday.
