Location: Hodges Stadium (Jacksonville, Fla.)
Meet Schedule | Heat Sheets | Live ResultsÂ
Meet Notes:
- UNF is hosting the ASUNÂ Outdoor Championship for the 10th consecutive year
- Osprey men have finished runner-up in two of the last three seasons while UNF women claimed a third-place finish last year
Pigg's Points: (Quotes from Head Coach Jeff Pigg)
"Both squads are really looking forward to the ASUN Championships. Now that we have had time to take final exams and get into a new practice rhythm everyone should be at their best. We train all year to get to this point and the satisfaction and relief of finishing up finals usually fosters a bit of a peak for our student-athletes. Â
>Men's Outlook
"Bobby Harris looks to improve on his conference leading mark in the high jump. He as recovered nicely from his injury late during the indoor season and we hope to see him soar this weekend. Damien Lewis is looking good as well following his runner-up finish in the high jump at the Indoor Championship.
"In the 1500m, senior Tyler Stahl is coming off of his 3:43 PR at the last home meet and Nick Morken headlines the 1500. Both of them will be doubling up this weekend, with Morken running the 800m and Stahl in the 5000m.
"Noah Perkins and Rob Leverone look to continue their successful campaign after great races at Georgia Tech. They will run the 10,000m and 5,000mÂ
"In the 3000m Steeplechase, Fynn Timm goes for his third straight ASUN title in the event having posted a regional qualifying mark earlier this spring. Freshman Leo Queyrou looks very strong as well in the Steeplechase."
>Women's Outlook
"Claudia Jalon is looking forward to returning to the track running both the 1500m and 800m
"In the 10,000m, Eden Meyer and Grace Meyer will close out their ASUN careers with Eden will look to win her fourth consecutive title in the 10,000. Eden will not be running the 5,000m as we have to do what is best for her. Grace has been battling a achilles injury all season, but has been able to maintain some fitness while running through some excruciating pain. Â
"Three-time regional high jump qualifier Alyssa Young is jumping great and should do very well in her last UNF home meet Â
"Senior Hallie Grimes is in top shape and just keeps getting faster. She should be tough to beat as she looks to earn the sweep of the 400m at the indoor and outdoor championships."
