Ospreys Search for First Road Win of Season

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida women's basketball team hits the road this weekend, searching for their first road victory of the season at Bethune-Cookman on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Daytona Beach, Fla.

UNF overcame a 14-point first quarter deficit to defeat FIU 62-53 and extend the home winning streak to five games on Tuesday night. Janesha Green led the Ospreys with a career-high 15 points and eight rebounds while Adrienne Jackson chipped in 13 points, seven rebounds and three steals.

UNF has two players scoring in double-figures, led by Arianna Emanuel-Wright and Jackson with 11.7 and 11.2 points per game, respectively.
Emanuel-Wright has scored in 26 consecutive games, followed by Jackson with a streak of 12 games.
Junior Dasha Eremeeva is tallying 9.3 points and 5.9 boards per game while Lauren Gross is chipping in 7.8 points per game in her first collegiate season.
Jackson and Ty Purifoy rank second and third among ASUN players in steals per game with 2.8 and 2.5 steals per game, respectively.
North Florida is shooting 40.2 percent from the field, including 27.5 percent from three-point range and 69.6 percent from the charity stripe.

Sunshine State Success
North Florida has found success playing in-state foes this season, posting a 3-1 mark against teams in the Sunshine State. The Ospreys have tallied wins over Trinity Baptist, Florida A&M and FIU while falling on the road at Florida State to open the season.

Looking Ahead
The Ospreys welcome Jacksonville, Alabama A&M and Warner to UNF Arena next week while hosting the UNF Holiday Classic. UNF will take on Alabama A&M on Thursday at 2 p.m. and Warner on Friday at 2 p.m.
