JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Five non-conference tournaments, including hosting a tournament at Jacksonville Beach for the first time since 2013, highlight the 2019 North Florida beach volleyball schedule.
Â
"We are excited for the 2019 season and have set up a schedule that allows us to be tested nationally," said head coach Kristen Wright. "Our goal is to play a strong schedule to prepare us to compete for an ASUN Championship, but also would position us well for the postseason."
Â
UNF went 19-12 last season and reached the finals of the ASUN Tournament as the No. 3 seed, falling 3-1 to top-seeded Stetson. The 19 wins are the second-most in program history behind the 24 wins totaled in the 2016 season.
Â
Entering the eighth year of the program, the Ospreys open the season at the Paradise At The Burrow hosted by FAU. The two-day tournament takes place on Feb. 22-23 in Boca Raton, Fla.
