JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – Three non-conference tournaments, including hosting a six-team tournament in St Augustine, highlight the 2018 North Florida Beach Volleyball schedule.
"I am pleased with the progress in the first week of training for our beach volleyball team," said head coach Kristen Wright. "We are excited about the vision and direction we are headed. I feel that we will be successful right away and certainly see a bright future. I look forward to seeing how this program comes together."
Entering the seventh year of the program, the Ospreys open the season with a first, February competition, as UNF visits Webber International for tournament action on February 24-25. The Ospreys face off with the University of Tampa, St. Thomas and host Warriors. It will be the third all-time meeting with Webber, while Tampa and St. Thomas are first time opponents for UNF.
North Florida then welcomes some of the top beach volleyball programs to St. Augustine for the UNF Beach Invitational on March 3-4. The tournament features four ranked teams from the AVCA final top 15 rankings, including LSU, South Carolina, Georgia State and FAU with UNCW and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi also participating in the event.Â

UNF next travels to Columbia, S.C., for a pair of matches with the Gamecocks and crosstown rival Jacksonville on March 10.
On March 28, the River City Rumble – Beach Volleyball edition – takes place on Jacksonville's campus with a double dual. UNF visits Wilmington, N.C. for the UNCW Beach Classic on Mar. 30-31. The Ospreys square off with Webber International, Carson Newman, College of Charleston and the host Seahawks. The Ospreys will be meeting Carson Newman for the first time while having faced the other squads in the field in previous years.
ASUN Conference play continues Apr. 6-7 when UNF faces Mercer and Coastal Carolina on JU's campus courts. The last ASUN matches are scheduled for Apr. 13-14 against FGCU and Stetson in Estero, Fla..
