The Short Story: The North Florida men's golf team posted rounds of 290-289 in Monday's opening day action at the Shoal Creek Intercollegiate. Junior Philip Knowles was the squad's top performer, carding rounds of 70-71.

FIRST TEE
- Junior Phliip Knowles continued his strong play to open the season, boasting back-to-back under par rounds on Day 1 of competition to finish T-5th at 3-under 142 (70-71)
- Fellow junior Andrew Alligood (74-72) and senior Dillon Woods (72-74) joined Knowles in the Top 25 in a tie for 23rd after totaling 2-over 146 thru 36 holes of play
- Junior Travis Trace tied for 37th (76-72=148) and redshirt junior Jordan Batchelor was tied for 57th (74-77=151) to round out the Osprey lineup
- Redshirt freshman Michael Saccente is competing as an individual in the event and finished the day tied for 57th (74-77)
