The Short Story: The No. 41-ranked North Florida men's golf team opens play in the NCAA Stanford (Calif.) Regional on Monday as the seventh-seed in the 13 team field at the Stanford Golf Course.Â

NOTEWORTHY
- The Ospreys are making their eighth consecutive NCAA Regional appearance and will look to earn the program's fifth trip to the NCAA Championship round and first since 2013
- Four players on the current squad have participated in regional play led by the sophomore trio of Philip Knowles, Andrew Alligood and Travis Trace. Junior Dillon Woods will be playing in his third consecutive regional while freshman Michael Mattiace will make his NCAA debut.
- Mattiace was named ASUN Co-Freshman of the Year while Knowles and Alligood both garnered All-ASUN first-team honors
- The Ospreys will be headed to the far west for the third time in the last four seasons having also played in regionals in Eugene, Ore., (2014) and Tucson, Ariz. (2016).
-Â UNF is one of four ASUNÂ teams to qualify for regional playing joining Kennesaw State, Lipscomb and Jacksonville.
- The Stanford Regional field includes 8 teams ranked in the Top 50 nationally and 11 of the 13 teams are listed in the Top 100

- Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 15-17. The low five teams and the low individual not on an advancing team from each regional will qualify for the finals, May 26-31 at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Ill.
- North Florida will begin Day 1 play on Hole 1 at 9:25 a.m. PT (12:25 p.m. ET). UNF will be paired with BYU and Houston in the opening round
