JACKSONVILLEÂ - North Florida softball could not stop Kennesaw State's hot bats as the Owls grabbed the Sunday victory, 6-3.

GAME CAPSULE
- Kennesaw State led off the first with an error and a single to put two on before a double steal had two runners in scoring position.
- Noelle Winkles then doubled down the left line to bring in both runners. She then came around to score on a sac fly for the 3-0 lead.
- In the second, the Owls added three more when a hit by pitch and back-to-back singles loaded the bases and forced a UNF pitching change.
- Morgan Blourne came in for starter Logan Green and got the next two batters on strikeouts, but another double and a UNF error allowed three runs to come across.
- UNF finally got on the board with an RBI single from Jenna Brownell in the fourth.
- Blanchard came in relief in the third and allowed just two batters to reach second for the remainder of the game.
- The Ospreys tried to get things going in the final inning when a hit by pitch came around to score on an overthrow to first for the first run.
- With one on, pinch hitter Jen Valle tossed a single on the right side and put two on before Taylor Aguayo loaded the bases with her shallow single.
- Penrod then sent an infield single to the short stop allowing a run to score and keep the bases loaded, but Viers settled in and got the next two outs without issue to end the game.
