Ospreys Earn Spot in ASUN Championship

CONWAY, S.C. Â - North Florida beach volleyball earned a berth to the ASUN Tournament beginning next week as it picked up a victory against Coastal Carolina to continue ASUN play. UNF fell to Mercer in the second game of the day.

BEACH BULLETS
- North Florida needed one win and a Jacksonville loss to secure a spot in the ASUN Tournament and just that happened.
- Sophomore Chaney Howard and senior Lauren Gainer grabbed the first win in straight sets before senior Shannon McPherson and sophomore Nicole DeBolt made it a 2-0 lead with a win at the No. 5 spot.
- Seniors Carina Hoff and Kimberly Ferguson clinched the match with a victory at No. 2.
- In the Mercer match, McPherson and DeBolt extended their wins to nine straight matches in the No. 5 position with the three-set victory.
- The top pair of Courtney Miller and Katarina Racievic took down the No. 1 duo of Tory Penrod and Emily Krogman as the Ospreys moved to 13-9 on the season.
