Four Ospreys Score in Double Figures in Home Opening Win

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Four Ospreys scored in double figures as the North Florida women's basketball team downed Warner, 74-38, in the home opener on Monday for the annual Elementary School Day.

- Senior Maiya Rumph recorded 16 points and 13 rebounds for her first double-double of the season, while classmate Keonna Farmer also tallied a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
- Freshman Tiffany Tolbert had her first double-digit performance with 11 points.Â
- North Florida held Warner to single digits in all but the third quarter when the visitors put up 14 points.
- The team pulled down 22 offensive boards for 26 second chance points as UNF pulled down 53 total rebounds to Warner's 37.

First Half Trends
- North Florida led from start to finish against the Royals as the home team jumped out to a 7-0 lead with five points coming from Tolbert.
- Warner whittled the lead to one before the Ospreys went on a 7-0 run and eventually owned a 17-9 lead after the first.
- UNF continued its streak as it went on a 12-3 run to own a 29-12 advantage with 2:39 left in the frame.Â
- Jackson hit her second three of the game in the second to guide the Ospreys to a 34-17 lead at the break.
- North Florida pushed its lead to 31, 62-31, as time ticked down for the third period on a putback from Jackson.
- The Ospreys shot a game-best 47.4 percent in the third quarter and went 4-for-8 from long range.
- In the final stanza, Rumph hit a free throw to give the home team its biggest lead of the game and the Ospreys first victory.
- The fourth quarter was the closest as UNF just outscored Warner, 12-7.

- For the game, UNF struggled from the line at a 62 percent clip, while Warner was 9-for-11 to shoot 81 percent.
- The Ospreys picked up 11 steals on 23 Warner turnovers led by Farmer with four. Junior Ty Purifoy grabbed up three.
