JACKSONVILLE -- The North Florida Track & Field teams will open up the outdoor portion of their spring season this weekend by hosting the UNF Spring Break Invitational, Friday and Saturday at Hodges Stadium.
"We are looking forward to kicking off the outdoor season here at home running the UNF Spring Break Inviattional,' said head coach Jeff Pigg. "There are over 1,000 collegiate and open athletes along with another 2,000 high school athletes competing in this meet. It is a big meet and that means there are a lot of opportunities for some good performances. We have a beautiful facility, and while it is a lot of work for our staff it is very exciting to host a big track meet.  We take a lot of pride in preparing to provide a great experience for everyone in attendance."
The two-day event features competition for both collegiate and prep athletes. Friday's schedule includes primarily collegiate competitors while Saturday's slate is mainly for the high school athletes. Admission for the Spring Break Invitational is $7 for a single day and $10 for a two-day pass.
