
Woods & Alligood Lead Men's Golf to 4th Place Finish at Tavistock Collegiate

WINDERMERE, Fla. -- North Florida golfers Dillon Woods and Andrew Alligood tied for fourth among individuals while pacing the Ospreys to a fourth-place team finish Tuesday in the ultra-competitive Tavistock Collegiate Invitational at Isleworth Country Club.
The Ospreys, currently ranked 74th in the nation, carded a final round 291 en route to a 54-hole total of 4-over 868. UNF finished just one shot behind No. 36 Arizona State for third. The TCI is annually features one of the top fields in collegiate golf with this year's pairings led by 10 squads in the Top 50 including five Top 10 teams led by No. 1 Illinois.
Woods was the top performer for UNF in the final round, matching a career best with a 4-under 68 to finish with a three-day total of 210. His final round was highlighted by three birdies and an eagle 2 on the par-4 (438) 12th hole. Alligood joined Woods in red figures on Tuesday, reaching the 210 total following a 2-under 70 in the final round.
Senior Osten Waite, playing on his home course, carded a final round 76 in finishing tied for 36th (223), while sophomore Travis Trace was tied for 42nd (225) after a 77 on Tuesday. Sophomore Philip Knowles rounded out the Osprey lineup in a tie for 46th (227) including his final round 78.

No. 7 Florida led wire-to-wire in winning the team title with a total of 20-under 844, 11 shots in front of runner-up No. 3 Vanderbilt (855). No. 9 North Carolina grabbed the last spot in the Top 5 behind UNF, tallying an 870 team score.
North Florida, in the midst of a stretch of four consecutive weeks of tournament play, return to the course on Monday (Oct. 24) at the Quail Valley Intercollegiate in Vero Beach, Fla.
