PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The #45-ranked North Florida golf team opens up the spring portion of its schedule Monday and Tuesday at the Sea Best Invitational hosted by Jacksonville at TPC Sawgrass – Dye's Valley Course.
The 6,977-yard, Par-71 course will field 15 teams beginning on Monday morning. The field includes 12 teams ranked among the nation's Top 100. The field includes #35 Arkansas, #77 Campbell, #34 Charleston Southern, #19 Florida, #66 Jacksonville, Jacksonville State, #64 Liberty, #53 Lipscomb, #79 McNeese State, #21 North Carolina, Stephen F. Austin, #47 Tennessee, #42 Texas A&M and USC-Upstate.

The Osprey lineup, that begins play in the 8 a.m. shotgun start alongside Tennessee and Lipscomb on holes 7-10, includes senior Taylor Hancock and a trio of freshmen Andrew Alligood, Phillip Knowles and Travis Trace. Sophomore Jordan Batchelor will also make his debut in the UNF lineup. Additionally, sophomore Dillon Woods will compete as an individual.
"We are looking forward to kicking off the spring semester," said head coach Scott Schroeder. "Playing the Valley Course is always fun and it's a course that we know pretty well. It will be a good test of golf. The field is pretty strong and will be a great opportunity for us to see where we stand following the winter break."
The tournament features free admission and is open to the public. Live scoring results are available online at Golfstat.com.
