JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The No. 26-ranked North Florida men's golf team will face No. 37 Florida in a best of five match play event, the Statesboro Blues Cup, at Timuquana Country Club beginning at 2:50 p.m on Friday.

The Ospreys and Gators both lost a day of competition to rain and decided to create this event as an opportunity to get another round of play while also getting some practice modeled after the NCAA Championship final round structure.

The event features five 18-hole singles matches with the winning team having to claim three of the five matches. The event has free admission and is open to friends and family of the participating players.

Following the match, North Florida will conclude its regular season tournament slate on Apr. 11-12 at the Irish Creek Collegiate in Kannapolis, Ind.
