BRASELTON, Ga. -- No. 24-ranked North Florida is set to open up play in the 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference Championship on Monday at the Legends Course of Chateau Elan.
UNF will be paired with No. 26-ranked Kennesaw State in the opening round which was orginally scheduled to start at 8 a.m. on Sunday but rain and the threat of a tornado for the Chateau Elan area on Sunday forced a postponement of first round play. Tournament action is now slated to begin at 9 a.m. Monday with plans to hopefully play 36 holes. In addtion, soggy landing area on Hole No. 10 will make it change from par 5 to par 3 and change the total round par to 70 instead of 72.
The Ospreys, who consistently have finished among the top three squad's at the league championship event, are seeking to earn their third tournament title of the season.
Seniors Joey Petronio and Parker Jones head up the travel squad for UNF at the event. Juniors Taylor Hancock and Austin Padova along with redshirt freshman Dillon Woods round out the Osprey lineup.
