CLEARWATER, Fla. – The North Florida softball team fell to Wagner 7-6 and SIU-Edwardsville 4-3 in their second day of action at the USF Under Armour Showcase at the Eddie C. Moore Complex in Clearwater, Fla.

The Ospreys (15-8) now sit at 2-2 on the weekend. They play their final game on Sunday against Dayton at 11:15 a.m.

In their first game against Wagner, it was a back and forth affair with teams trading the lead five times over the course of seven innings. Wagner took the lead on a two RBI single in the bottom of the sixth.

Juniors Lexi Taylor and Stacy McClelland both homered in the loss. It was Taylor's first home run of the season and McClelland's eighth.

In the second game of the day, it was a scoreless pitcher's duel until extra innings. Both teams scored one run in the eighth, 10^th, and 11^th innings, with SIU-Edwardsville gaining the winning run on a sacrifice fly in the top of the 12^th. The Ospreys stranded two runners in the bottom half of the inning to make the final 4-3.

Senior Abby Tewey lead the lineup in the second game, going 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs.
