
@OspreySB travels to Gainesville to face Third-Ranked Gators

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida softball team faces the third-ranked Florida Gators Wednesday afternoon at 6:05 in Gainesville, Fla. at the Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium.

The Ospreys (21-18) look to get back on track and end their six-game skid.
"Playing the Gators in Gainesville will be a great experience for our girls. They have a beautiful stadium and a great atmosphere to play in," says coach Marcie Hickey. "We have faced three very powerful teams this week, who will have us very prepared for the second half of our conference schedule."

The North Florida lineup is led by juniors Stacy McClelland and Shelby Duncan. McClelland leads the team and ranks third in the conference in batting average (.419) and holds the team-lead and ranks fourth in the conference in home runs (9).

Duncan ranks second on the team and sixth in the conference in batting average (.402). Duncan notched her first career home run with the Ospreys last week against South Carolina.

The Ospreys pitching staff is led by seniors Kayla Goff and Kaylie Wallace. Goff ranks first on the team and fourth in the conference in ERA (2.85) and also ranks fifth in the conference in strikeouts (76). Wallace ranks second on the team and seventh in the conference in ERA (3.05).
