ATHENS, Ga. – The first session of the 2015 Coastal Collegiate Swim Association is in the books and the North Florida swim team. The evening session included a pair of relays, the 200 medley relay and the 800 Freestyle relay.

The Ospreys earned 44 points with an eighth place finish in the 200 medley relay with a season-best time of 1:48.12. The quartet of Angel Morrison, Natalie McCallum, Lissa Janowicz and Chase Walker shaved more than three seconds of any relay combination this year.

In the only other event of the night, the team comprised of Junior Amy Taylor, Rebeca Bernard, Maria Bernard and McCalllum combined also took home an eighth place finish in the 800 freestyle relay. The Ospreys picked up another 44 points with a time of 7:39.07.

After the first session, the Ospreys are in ninth place with 88 points.

The first session tomorrow begins at 10:00 a.m. with preliminaries in the 500 freestyle, 200 individual medley, 50 freestyle and the 200 freestyle relay. Qualifiers will then compete in the evening finals at 6:00 p.m.
