ATHENS, Ga. – Wednesday marks the first day of competition for the 2015 Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association Championships for the North Florida swim team. The event features all 11 CCSA schools and is swam at the University of Georgia's Gabrielsen Natatorium.
After closing the dual meets season with wins against two of their last three opponents, the Ospreys have been preparing for this week's event for nearly a month. The four-day meet will have two sessions each day, trials beginning at 10:00 a.m. and finals each evening at 6:00 p.m.
"The team has trained all season for this meet and we are looking forward to swimming fast this weeks," said Head Coach Ian Coffey. "I believe that we are well ressted and ready to perform."
The Ospreys have three swimmers listed in the final CCSA Top 24 times. Junior Amy Taylor leads the way for North Florida with Top 24 times in four different events (200, 500 Free, 1650 Free & 200 Fly). Â Seniors Lissa Janowicz and Natalie McCallum posted Top 24 times in the 200 Fly and the 200 Breaststroke respectively.
