JACKSONVILLE - The North Florida women's soccer team continues their four-match home stand this weekend when they host the Leopards of Lafayette College on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and the Eagles of Boston College Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
"We have had a great week of training and the energy has been fantastic. We were able to take some things from last weekend's games and address them," said coach Robin Confer. "We know that Lafayette will be organized and ready to play."
The Ospreys (0-2-0) look to rebound from a tough opening weekend and notch their first win of the season.
Lafayette comes into the match with a 1-0-0 record after beating Saint Peter's 4-0 in their opener. Boston College will take a 1-1 record to Jacksonville University on Friday before making the cross-town trip to Hodges Stadium.
"Boston College advanced to the Elite 8 last year so we know it will be a tough opponent, but we are looking forward to the challenge this weekend," added Confer.
Friday night's match will be part of the University of North Florida's Week of Welcome. UNF Campus Life will provide free soccer scarves and free food vouchers for the first 200 students in attendance.
Sunday's match against Boston College will be streamed live, courtesy of A-Sun TV.
