ATHENS, Ga.— North Florida's tandem of Jack Findel-Hawkins and Norbert Nemcsek face the No. 1 seeded duo of Yannick Hanfmann and Ray Sarmiento from Southern California in the NCAA Men's Tennis Doubles Championships Thursday at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
Â
"We are extremely excited to play the top-ranked doubles team in the nation," said head coach Mark Finnegan. "It's experiences like this that will help our team grow and understand what it is going to take to get this program to even greater heights. We have nothing to lose and will stick to our core principles that we believe in when it comes to doubles."
Â
The Ospreys enter the match with an 18-7 overall record, going 11-5 in dual matches at the top position. In their last outing, the duo defeated Stetson's Nathan Debut and Hans Adrian Riseng 8-3 on March 22. Prior to heading to the NCAA Men's Tennis Doubles Championships, North Florida fell 4-0 to ETSU in the Atlantic Sun Conference final.

The Trojans come off winning their 100th NCAA National Championship victory. They defeated Oklahoma 4-2 on Tuesday afternoon. Hanfmann and Sarmiento boast a 15-3 dual match record at the No. 1 spot. Against Oklahoma, the pair was on serve at 5-6 when the match was suspended due to Oklahoma clinching the doubles point.
