About Mercer: The Bears come into the weekend riding a six-game winning streak. On Tuesday Mercer took down No. 23 Georgia Tech, 4-1. It marked the fourth time in as many seasons that the Bears defeated their in-state foe. Â Mercer just the ninth team in the nation to rack up 20 or more wins thus far in 2014. Last weekend Mercer went to Jacksonville and swept the Dolphins, outscoring them 19-9. The only Atlantic Sun loss of the season came against Kennesaw State, a 2-1 decision back on March 14th.
Â

In the six-game span he is 13-for-29 with three home runs, 10 runs scored and six RBIs. He has twice led the game off with a home run and leads the team with four long balls in just 14 starts. He is second on the team and third in the Atlantic Sun with a .379 batting average this season.
Â
Multiple-Hit Games: Taking advantage of his opportunities, Olmstead has recorded multiple-hit games in eight of the last nine games. He is second to only Drew Weeks with nine multiple-hit games this season.
