SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Savannah State Tigers (9-16) emerged with a 2-1 victory in 10 innings this evening over North Florida (13-12). Today's pitchers' duel earned the Tigers a split of the two-game season series.

Savannah State won the game on a bases loaded, two out error in the bottom of the 10^th, snapping a three-game losing streak. Tiger starting pitcher Zach McCormack pitched into the 8^th inning and was charged with the only Osprey run in the top of 8^th inning. He struck out three batters and walked none in the no-decision.

Osprey starter Nick Miller was equally as good, tossing five innings of one-run baseball. He also struck out three batters and scattered six Tiger hits in the contest. He was relieved in the sixth by left hander Jamie Cardwell who faced six batters in 1.2 innings. He allowed only two hits and struck out one in his first appearance since March 11^th.

The only North Florida run came in the top of 8^th, trailing 1-0. Corbin Olmstead led off the inning with his first triple of the season and third of his career. The next batter, Patrick Ervin, allowed Olmstead to score easily on a sacrifice fly to right field. Olmstead was 2-for-5 in the game, collecting his fourth-straight multiple-hit game.

Drew Weeks also had two hits for the Ospreys, with singles in the fourth and sixth innings. The reigning Atlantic Sun Player of the Week, upped his league-leading average to .441 on the year. He has 45 hits in 25 games this season.

Savannah State led the scoring off in the bottom of the second inning on a two-out base hit by Mike McHugh. He later scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the 10^th inning.

North Florida will stay in the state of Georgia this weekend to take continue Atlantic Sun play against defending regular season champion, Mercer. Game one will be on Friday at 6:00 p.m . in Macon, Ga.
