STATESBORO, Ga. -- The No. 53-ranked North Florida men's golf team continues its spring season schedule beginning Friday at the Schenkel Invitational hosted by Georgia Southern.
The Ospreys return to action after posting a seventh-place tie in their home event The Hayt on Feb. 23-25. The Schenkel Invitational is a three-day, 54 hole event held at Forest Heights Country Club (par 72/6,962 yards). The event features a 15-team field highlighted by five teams ranked among the nation's top 30.
UNF's lineup for this weekend's play is led by junior All-American MJ Maguire, who will be joined by fellow junior Joey Petronio, senior Taylor Johnson and sophomores Austin Padova and Taylor Hancock. In addition. redshirt freshman Osten Waite is participating as an individual.
North Florida opens play Friday at 9 a.m. on Hole No. 1 along side No. 8 UCF and No. 11 Virginia. Tournament play continues with 18 holes of play on both Saturday and Sunday.
