The Ospreys (13-12, 7-5 ASun) enter the match-up looking to build on a hard fought 54-52 victory at Stetson on Thursday. The game marked the third consecutive final possession contest for UNF and second win in that span. Nine of North Florida's 12 conference games this year have been decided by six points or less.
Freshman Dallas Moore sparked a second half rally scoring all of his team high 14 points in the period. The Ospreys earned the victory using a 22-6 run in the final 10 minutes to overcome an 11-point deficit. UNF dominated the glass out-rebounding Stetson, 41-27.
Moore leads the Ospreys in scoring averaging 12.8 points per game, while senior Travis Wallace is the team's second leading scorer at 12.0 ppg and tops the squad in rebounding at 7.6 boards a contest.
FGCU (15-9, 9-2) brings a three-game win streak into the meeting after topping Jacksonville 100-71 on Thursday night. The Eagles are a perfect 6-0 at home in ASun play and own a 10-1 mark at Alico Arena this season having won their last seven at home. Bernard Thompson leads a trio of double-figure scorers averaging 15.3 points per game.
Saturday's game marks the 18th all-time meeting between UNF and FGCU, with the Eagles holding a slim 10-7 advantage in the series. FGCU has won the last four meetings between the pair including a tight 79-75 win at UNF Arena on Jan. 9.
