CORAL GABLES, Fla.—The University of North Florida men's tennis team claimed the doubles point early, but ultimately fell 4-3 to No. 62 Miami on Saturday afternoon at Neil Schiff Tennis Center.

"I'm proud of our performance today," said head coach Mark Finnegan. "All of our hard work in doubles this week started to pay true dividends. Mark [Hamill] stepped up big time in doubles today and Jack [Findel-Hawkins] showed great composure in closing out his singles match. We are looking forward to playing UCF tomorrow."

The Osprey duo of Norbert Nemcsek and Jack Findel-Hawkins defeated Gabriel Flores and Diego Soto 8-6 at the No. 1 spot. Yannick Zuern and Mark Hamill followed the trend and claimed an 8-6 win over William Albanese and Henrique Tsukamoto at No. 2 doubles.

However, the Ospreys were only able to garner singles wins at the No. 1 and No. 5 positions. Findel-Hawkins claimed a win at the No. 1 spot with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Flores. Zuern got a three-set win over Bernard Tefel at No. 5 singles. Zuern claimed the first-set 6-3, but Tefel got the second 6-2 to force a third. Zuern clinched his match with a 6-3 third-set victory.

The Ospreys continue with a road match at No. 64 UCF on Sunday at 1 p.m., at the UCF Tennis Complex.
