2013-14 (Freshman): Went 7-15 overall in singles play and 8-10 during doubles competition… played most of singles dual matches at No. 6, but also saw time at No. 4 and No. 5 spots… notched back-to-back singles wins twice on the season… picked up a pair of victories against Georgia Southern’s Nico DeGroof (Feb. 15) and Bethune-Cookman’s Alvaro Barrera (Feb. 15) at No. 4 singles… had consecutive No. 6 singles triumphs over Northern Kentucky’s Jack Carney (Apr. 11) and Lipscomb’s Nacor Ibanez (Apr. 12)… advanced to the semifinals at the Georgia Southern Championships (Oct. 4-6)… put together a three-match winning streak with Bernard Craveiro (Apr. 11-19)… took third at the Georgia Southern Championships with doubles partner Caio Gomes… Atlantic Sun Academic Honor Roll selection.

Other Experience: Ranked No. 2 in Colombia (2011)… ranked No. 8 in the COSAT…won the 2011 ITF/COSAT Grade 3 tournament… made it to the round of 16 in the Colombia F3 future… competed in the ITF Grade 1 tournament in Venezuela (2013).

Personal: Majoring in finance… son of Heinan Tellez and Claudia Garees… has two brothers, Juan and Santiago.
